BROTHERS REID HOT NEW DEBUT SINGLE 'DO IT YOURSELF' OUT MONDAY 16TH AUGUST

Brothers Reid - an exciting new 5-piece folk/blues/bluegrass band from the North-East of Scotland. Based in rural Aberdeenshire the group take influence from their natural surroundings, blending a 70's bluesy tone with modern and traditional folk, creating an organic and original sound.
At the heart of this band is the tight song-writing duo of brothers Fish and Chris Reid on slide and acoustic guitars. Performing vocal duets and leading the band as they play foot stomping sets of original tunes laced with some classic fiddle, banjo and moothy lines by talented all rounder Rory Comerford.
'Do it Yourself' is the debut single from Brothers Reid and is an up–tempo, melodic hoe-down that is bursting with energy which, just like their live shows, is really not to be missed. This will be the 1st single form their forthcoming debut album due out on Fat Hippy in summer 2011 so watch this space!

DEBUT TURNING THIRTEEN SINGLE ‘STRING SHE PULLED’ OUT MONDAY 29TH MARCH

Turning Thirteen – a dynamic four-piece Aberdeen band whose debut single, ‘String She Pulled’, is packed with enormous riffs, moods that flit from light to shade and impassioned vocals, are powering out of their hometown to take on the world. The seeds of Turning Thirteen were sown when front man Steve Bruce and his brother Jeff decided, united by a love of music, to start something that was unique to the their corner of Scotland. Since those early days, they have evolved into one of Scotland’s most exciting new rock bands with sweet melodies twisted with a heavy crunch and shades of hardcore punk.
Following the success of the self- financed mini album ‘Baby Puzzles’ (2006), show-stopping support slots with ‘Biffy Clyro’, like-minded Brit rockers ‘Hundred Reasons’ and more recently Welsh rock band ‘Future Of The Left’, the band were approached by several Scottish indie labels for a debut release. Choosing to stay true to their musical roots Turning Thirteen headed into the studio to record their debut single ‘String She Pulled’ with established Aberdeen label Fat Hippy Records.
Turning Thirteen are poised for greatness. The group of fans who once held them as their own little secret is growing like wild fire and the word of mouth buzz about their intense live shows and fresh sound is getting louder everyday... and as for Turning Thirteen’s state of mind and love of music, they’ve been sure for as long as they have been playing together that this is what drives them!

NEW FIVEFIFTEEN SINGLE ‘ONLY WAY TO BE’ OUT MON 16TH NOVEMBER

FH50 FFLTD, one of our most successful artists Fivefifteen are back again with their new single “Only Way To Be”, the follow up to last years highly successful “S.O.S” single which saw the band play a number of packed gigs across Scotland and attracted airplay, downloads and physical sales from all over Europe and the U.S.A. With a settled line up for over 18 months now, Fivefifteen just keep getting better and better. Tighter and sharper than they’ve ever been their wealth of live and studio experience is really starting to show as the band mature into one of the top indie/rock bands in Scotland. Recorded & mixed this summer in London with Driveblind (Geffen) guitarist Nicholas J Tyler and mastered at Metropolis by Frank Arkwright, the “Only Way To Be” single really captures the bands electric live sound and is the perfect compliment to their reputation as a great live band.

This years’ launch tour comes with support from Chris Helme (Seahorses, The Yards) whose own love and respect of their music further emphasizes how far Fivefifteen have come. Undoubtedly “ones to watch” as we move into 2010 check out this great new single now!
